Bradford accountancy firm Watson Buckle has kicked off its 2025 charity campaign with an impressive start, raising nearly half of its annual target in just a few weeks.
The practice has already collected £473 towards its £1,000 goal for Andy’s Man Club, its chosen charity of the year.
Staff recently got into the swing of things with an in-office golf challenge – The Watson Buckle Masters – which proved a popular way to boost donations. After several entertaining rounds, Zach Roberts emerged victorious, earning the title of overall champion.
The putting contest is the first of many activities planned for the year. The firm has lined up further fundraising events to maintain momentum and raise as much as possible for the men’s mental health charity.
Managing Director Mark Wilcock praised the effort and enthusiasm shown by the team: “We’re proud of how our team has come together to support this year’s charity. There’s been a fantastic sense of energy and enthusiasm across the office. “The putting competition was a great success and we’ve got plenty more activities in the pipeline. I’m confident we’ll reach, and hopefully exceed, our fundraising goal this year.”
Watson Buckle has a strong record of supporting good causes, having previously raised money for The Dogs Trust, Candlelighters, and The Cellar Trust. Each year, staff vote for a new charity to champion through a mix of fun events and collective initiatives.
With more fundraising already in the pipeline, the firm is aiming to build on its early success and make a meaningful contribution to its chosen charity throughout 2025.
