Yorkshire Accountancy Awards Unveils Two New Categories for Landmark 10th Anniversary

The Yorkshire Accountancy Awards has announced two new categories for 2027 as the event prepares to celebrate its landmark 10th anniversary in Leeds.

The Supporting the Industry Award and Accounting Tech Initiative of the Year Award will make their debut at the Yorkshire Accountancy Awards 2027, recognising the increasingly diverse organisations, individuals and innovations helping to shape the future of the profession.

The awards will return to Leeds on 25 February 2027, bringing together accountancy firms, finance teams, professionals and industry partners from across Yorkshire for a major celebration of achievement across the region.

The new Supporting the Industry Award has been introduced to recognise the individuals, teams and organisations providing valuable services and support to the accountancy profession.

The category opens the awards to those working alongside accountancy firms and finance professionals, recognising the important contribution made by businesses and specialists helping the sector to grow, innovate and deliver for its clients.

Meanwhile, the Accounting Tech Initiative of the Year Award will celebrate the technology, digital projects and innovations transforming the way accountancy services are delivered.

From automation and artificial intelligence to new platforms, systems and digital processes, the category will recognise initiatives that have improved efficiency, enhanced client service or created measurable impact within an accountancy or finance environment.

The introduction of the categories comes during a milestone year for the Yorkshire Accountancy Awards, which will mark a decade of recognising outstanding firms, teams and individuals across the region in 2027.

Over the past ten years, the awards have reflected the changing face of Yorkshire’s accountancy profession, from the growth of specialist advisory services and new routes into the sector to the increasing role of technology in how firms operate and support their clients.

Entries are currently open across the Yorkshire Accountancy Awards categories, with firms, teams and individuals encouraged to put forward the achievements and initiatives that have made an impact during the past year.

Entries close on 20 November 2026.

The winners will be revealed at the Yorkshire Accountancy Awards 2027 on 25 February 2027 in Leeds, as the event celebrates ten years of recognising excellence across Yorkshire’s accountancy community.
